Blue "Camera" Run/Stop cable compatible with Preston Cinema Systems MDRs. This cable connects from the Blue "Camera" port on the MDR to the camera and allows the HU3 or HU4 to trigger record start/stop on the camera. Most cameras now have adopted the Momentary-On standard which is used in the 3-Pin Fischer connector on Arri cameras.

When using certain cameras, it is possible for an MDR3 or MDR4 to obtain power from the 3-Pin Fischer connector as well as trigger the camera. This is known as a combo cable and should only be used on qualified Arri or Sony cameras where the internal fuses and circuitry providing power to the 3-Pin ports on the camera can handle the current draw of a fully loaded MDR and motors.

We have moved to exclusively use Anglissmo connectors for cables with 90-degree connectors now. We will continue to use up the older stock of fixed 90-degree connectors and switch to the newer Anglissmo connectors. These connectors, while more expensive, allow the user to orient the elbow in any of 8 directions. If you require a non-standard (12:00 red dot) orientation, please indicate such in the Notes section of your checkout page. Please note that a special Lemo wrench is required to change the orientation of the connectors yourself.
