This digital motor cable is compatible with almost all digital motor protocols including Preston, Digital Bartech, Redrock, etc. It uses a standard 7-Pin Lemo connector type. The coiled digital motor cable comes in two lengths.
Our shorter coil is approximately 3-4 inches retracted and expands to approximately 12-14 inches. This cable is ideal for steadicam builds where the MDR is mounted in front of the top stage, under the lens. Here a short distance is required to connect the motors to the MDR. We do not recommend using coiled motor cables on steadicam builds with the Betz Wave 1, as this can put unwanted strain on the Wave motors.
Our longer variant is approximately 12 inches retracted and expands to approximately 36 inches. This cable is good for studio mode builds, in particular for builds where going back and forth between a zoom and prime happens often and unwanted cable slack is a problem.
Standard configurations include one 90 degree connector and one straight connector with a slightly longer lead, to plug into the MDR. The straight lead at the MDR end is approximately 3-4 inches long.
